WorldatWork Names Elissa O’Brien as New VP of Membership

November 5, 2020 (Scottsdale, Ariz.) — WorldatWork, the leading nonprofit professional association in compensation and Total Rewards, has announced the appointment of Elissa O’Brien as the organization's new Vice President of Membership.

With more than 25 years of experience in Human Resources, association management and business development, O’Brien previously was the Chief Membership Officer at the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), where she and her team led significant growth in membership and successful engagement strategies for members, volunteers, and affiliates. She also held HR leadership positions at Rhode Island Airport Corporation and LeadingHR Consulting Group. O’Brien is an adjunct professor teaching HR Analytics at Bryant University. She has testified before the U.S. Senate and the U.S. Department of Labor and has frequently been invited to speak about HR and workplace issues at conferences across the globe. O’Brien has a master’s degree in business administration and a master’s in Managerial Technology from Johnson and Wales University and a bachelor’s in Business Management from Salve Regina University.
